Product Description
The SAS-563P electrostatically shielded loop antenna finds its primary application in conducting shielding effectiveness tests compliant with standards such as IEEE 299, MIL-STD 285, and NSA 65-6, among others. This passive 12" (30cm) diameter loop antenna is shielded against the electric component by enclosing the conducting loop within an all-metal shield. This balanced Faraday shield serves the specific purpose of exclusively generating or measuring the magnetic component of radiated energy. Given the extended wavelengths in this frequency range and the standard testing distance from the source, the conventional 377 Ohm relationship with the E-field might not remain accurate. Therefore, it might be necessary to independently gauge or generate the "E" field using a high impedance monopole antenna.
* Calibration data and certificate included (NIST traceable)
